Colour Wheel Trees inspired by Gustav Klimt.

In Art with Miss Nixon, we learnt:

Why the colour wheel is important, we also learnt to draw trees, how to use the colour wheel, we learnt about negative space and to use chalk pastels.
We learnt that when you smudge chalk pastels the picture doesn't disappear.
We learnt that using hair spray makes the chalk pastels stay on.
We learnt that using black oil pastels for trees makes the other colours stand out.
We learnt the artist Gustav Klimt used swirls on many of his pictures and paintings.
We also learnt that half of the colour wheel is warm (yellow, orange and red), the other half (green, blue and purple) are the cool colours.
