Pumpkins
K/6 B have been learning about where food comes from and different types of farming.
K/6 B drew pumpkins then traced them with PVA glue. Once the glue dried, it left a clear barrier for K/6 B to colour in and around. Colour was added with chalk pastels, which they smudged with their fingers, while blending a bit of white and black to the edges to make the pumpkins look 3D. Finally a bit of grass was added to the bottom.
Don't they look wonderful? You can see them displayed in our school office.

Fairy Tale Castles
K/6B have been learning about Fairy Tales.
We looked at Fairy Tale castles and who might live
in them.
First K/6B drew their castles, including towers, a
gate, battlements and windows.
Then K/6B stamped bricks on their castles using rectangular
sponges.
Finally, we added fancy flags and glued our castles
onto a bright background with a horizon and lovely lawn.
K/6B loved:
- · Sponging the bricks
- · Making flags
- · Imagining who might live inside.
